anyone seen this?
done by wayne hope and robyn butler. really really well written.
you can pick it up from jb hi fi for about $20.

I've seen it around the place (probably at JB as well) but never knew enough about it to buy it (even if T Martin does a voice on it... I think). So it's a solid $20 value?

It was a comedy series shown on SBS on a saturday night I think. Robyn and husband Wayne were the main writers and performers.

Each episode involved different characters, unrelated to the week before except the story each week would involve a VW Golf.

yeah its really worth the $20. really interesting style of comedy.

I grabbed a 2nd hand copy for cheap(ish) thansk to the praise it got here and it was well worth it (so thanks!)- very funny character stuff rather than just a heap of gags. Why aren't there more things like this being made?

because alot writers won't take the risk. its a lot easy to do comedy that you know will work then take a risk and have it fall.

Yeah, it's a shame, especially as the 5-minute approach is cheap and would get a lot more comedy (that didn't have to be like The Wedge) on our TVs...
