New to forums

Hi ive only really just started using Forums first of all this one the God of all forums and recently also the Get this forum......just wondering is it wrong say if im on the gt forum and pming new friends[and im not talking to them just to mention forum] if i mention they should look at this site[I dont go into any detail just say its a great forum for fans and visited by good people] or on say this site if i pmed someone the url to another forum am i doing the wrong thing?



P.s None of this has actually happened to me yet but just want to know what the proper etiquette is?
