Yeh, that was on the Get This show I mentioned earlier, the 4/4/06 show :)

Considering I have been to tapings of Monster House (Ouch to the Maximum) and The Power of 10 this year and in the audience of the last ep of The Nation, I'm surprised Ch 9 hasn't stop sending e-mails to me attending tapings of there shows. I also remember Tony saying somewhere on Get This he was suppose to appear on Temptation on a comedy week special a couple of years back but pulled out at the last moment because Ed Phillips was hosting and it was because of that hecking sketch because he wouldn't be able to look Ed in the eyes while attempting to answer questions?

I think you'll find that story is on the Late show DVD commentary too. I certainly hope it's true as it's my most damn favourite anecdote of all time. In fact LEP can be found in the back of the Home mag in the Herald-Sun today (you know that celeb thing they do, Tony was in one in '06). My husband was telling me he had a crush on his wife when he was younger. Then we both simultaneously said "for two good looking people they sure produced a pog of a bubby".

"Oh, I'm anonymous and I dont care..."

Ah cool! I actually found the conversation, it was Show 2, with Peter Rowsthorn, back on 4/4/06 (coincidentally my brother's 38th birthday!)

That's 100% true about the prizes... so Temptation better come back, as my sister was a contestant on the Saturday taping. Did quite well for herself too.

(and all the press I've read says it'll be back once 'the current series' of Two & a Half Men finishes... which should mean within a month or so)

And I've heard that contestants dont recieve prizes until the show goes to air, so it would suck for them if it didnt air

Don't ever expect to see this episode on telly. All the stories in the press this week are saying that Channel 9 were planning to bring it back but those plans have been shelved & Temptation may never come back.

Correction: You probably will get to see this episode, just don't hold your breath. 9 apparently said they will show it "later in the year". However they have ceased production after the latest recording sessions.

Didn't Tony mention on Get This that it wasn't so much as Ed's appearance in the sketch that got him riled but Tony's calling him "Laughing Ed Phillips" that got him pissed off? And that since then people have been yelling out of car windows "Laughing Ed Phillips", making him even more angry, saying "I've never been laughing ed in my life, or something like that? Coz Tony did mention they'd told him before hand what they would be doing, and to play along when they stormed in, and he was cool with that, just not being referred to as "laughing Ed", which apparently Tony thought of very quickly before the scene was shot.

I'm sure he mentioned that pretty early on in the 2006 year of Get This....I'll have to go through my ipod to find it.....

Last Friday I was in the audience of the taping of Temptation (Yes, a sad way to spend a Friday arvo off work but it was something to do even if 35 of the 45 people in the audience were school kids and their teachers) and I had the balls to find out about Eds's appearance on The Late Show in the Heckling sketch with Mick and Tony. Anyway he was picked by the guys at the time of the filming of the sketch as during the D-Gen breakfast radio days, he use to do the pre-dawn show before them and so they did know each other in person. They also shot his appearence twice as well so he did know what was going on.
