Re: Getting To Know You

Hi everyone , I've just found this forum and I'm glad to see we have some UK based people who appreciate this bastion of Australian comedy greatness, which was the D Generation. And guess what, many, many, many moons ago, on a different continent, a land full of enormous furniture warehouses, Panel...

Re: Late Show Locations

I believe I know the location of two iconic Late Show moments, mainly to do with Wogs. Both are in Melbourne's northern suburbs. Uncle Alberto's house, Villa Del Sol, which featured in Understanding Wogs and the Burke's Backyard bit that was hosted by the D-Generation can be found at 50 Chapman Ave...

Good work. I also noticed Ted Emery, back when he still had a pony tail. Was Rob Sitch's 'dinner party guest' character based on him?
I have a gut feeling you're correct.

Final show 'crying'

Remember the montage played in the final episode when The Late Show wrapped up and they're all crying around the TV watching their own work? Apparently it was a piss-take of Fast Forward legit doing it when they wrapped up. Here's the actual bit from the Fast Forward special. https://youtu.be/1d1s0O...

Am I the only one that when in Spotlight or Lincraft stores, I can't help but think, or say, "I'm just a fan of your fabric"?!
No - I've had the odd urge to dress up in a horse suit too. ;)

I think Tony was actually doing an impression of Toshiro Mifune, star of Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Hell in the Pacific, the miniseries Shogun and Steven Spielberg's 1941. I could be wrong, but he is a bit of a film nerd...
Actually - I think you're correct there. Toshiro Mifune it was.
