No footage, unfortunately.

Which is a shame because he looks exactly the same. I did a double-take when I first saw him.

John Harrison

Former D-Gen member John Harrison, now general counsel for GE Australia/New Zealand, gave a talk on commercial law at my Law School today.

I wanted to ask him why the cupboard wasn't moving...

I'll still answer the phone occasionally with a "Loud and clear dickhead".

So that's my vote.

All this time I thought it was that story about Stevie Nicks and a bendy straw.

Come to think of it, I never actually caught THAT story either when it was told on MM.

But feel free to PM me and explain it... please?

I can tell you from personal experience that HECS was around in 1990. I distinctly remember feeling like I had a large stone weighing me down when I started work & had to pay it off. Can't blame John Howard for it - it was brought in by the Labor government. True you can't blame John Howard for it ...

I saw the King last night on Foxtel... I thought it was very well done.

Bert gets a little bit of time on screen, not heaps. It is really about Graham and most of it focuses on the early days in the 1950's.

Very well acted though.

Purely Belter! Can you elaborate on when this episode is going to air or is that asking too much?

"Improvisation"

"Lady Jennifer of Hawkins"

"And Lobsters for hands"

Can't give you the dates but these lines were from Tone's first TGYH appearance.

I'm glad you posted this because not more than 10 mins beforehand I had put the papers out for recycling. Phew!

Or the time constraints. Tone said that the reason there was no extras on the Best and second Best of the D-Gen DVD was that the ABC wanted it out quickly so they could capitalise on the success of the Champagne Edition DVD.
