Post by SeanRodger » Sat Aug 06, 2011 7:51 pm

Hey guys. I've just transferred Standing on the Road, which is a 1994 documentary of a tour featuring Glenn Robbins, Russel Gilbert, and Jimeoin, from VHS to my PC. If anyone is interested I will up a copy of it to Megaupload.

Cool. I'm just going to cut the ads out of it then encode it. Then I'll up the old commercials to my youtube account ;) If anyone is like me, obsessed with old commercials, let me know and I'll link you to my youtube account.

Yes please. Old ads would be a bonus. Cheers.

There's my YouTube channel. I uploaded about 20 commercials from a 1992 VHS the other day. Hopefully I can get quite a few from this video too. One of the VOB files was corrupt so I'm transferring the VHS to DVD again, and I'll get to work on encoding it later tonight, and probably up the commercials to YouTube tomorrow.

Thanks, SR. I must say, I was surprised the Holeproof No Nickers ad wasn't in that lot, but then I remembered that heterosexuality is a minority orientation in New South, demographically speaking, so it was probably never played up there, unlike Vic, where it was on high rotaysh.

Thanks, SR. I must say, I was surprised the Holeproof No Nickers ad wasn't in that lot, but then I remembered that, demographically speaking, heterosexuality is considered a minority orientation in Sydney, so it was prob'ly never played up there, unlike Melbourne, where it was on high rotaysh.

So, in conclusion, I too would appreciate a copy of Standing on the Road.

Sniv, you're weird. But I'll let you have a copy anyway. Here it is : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=N7DRIYOY

I also transferred a 2 hour special of Ray Martin Presents, featuring Phil Collins, Tom Jones, Madonna, Tony Bennett and some others. Although I doubt anyone really wants this. Even I'm not interested. Just in it for the commercials ;)

It was on the season 2 DVD's. I only have season 1 on DVD so this is the best quality of this doco I have currently available. Will probably make season 1 of Jimeoin available sometime soon too.
