Bargearse mention on TV Cream

I have mentioned the great British website, TV Cream, elsewhere on this forum.

Browsing this site, I discovered that Bluey has been shown on British television.

Bargearse, and The D-Generation also get a mention in this entry...

Speaking of Bluey, the theme music was later used by Channel Nine for its cricket coverage.

I have wondered for years, how did this happen?

Well, today, with the television rights being snagged by the Seven network, I finally got my answer. Back in the late 1970s, the late Kerry Packer had bought the cricket rights for Nine. He needed some theme music for this, and his fledgling World Series Cricket. Bluey had been axed after only one season. Packer obtained the rights to use the Bluey theme for a bargain price.
