I like how it says it specialises in "older style and hard to get fabrics".... er yeah, because they're at the bottom of the pile and haven't seen daylight since 1974.
I'm a thinker.... I thinka!

It's not Late Show, but I was just watching Frontline Season 3, Episode 4, and Mike Moore is being interviewed in a radio station about how someone is stalking him, with the guard with him 24/7.

The studios used are the old Triple M Melbourne studios. The one used, is the studio where they broadcasted 'Get This', with the broken headphone volume knobs.

Well, there you go. Coincidentally, I went and read Tony's Twisted Tales rejected script last night. There's some faint echoes in there!

The haunted studio?
I just want to pop him on a bit of toast and eat him right up.

Why yes! Not my intended meaning, but let's go with that.

Anyone read the script? Cheers to that lot over at Get This Wiki for keeping a record of it. http://getthiswiki.wetpaint.com/page/To ... isted+Tale
'Cos I'm a girly sap, I suppose, I really like the play between the shock jock and his future ex-wife. There's some frisson there. And I like this script direction "He sits. They take each other in.". I don't know, I just like that :).

The Bolt Bloke was on Hume Highway/Sydney Road in Campbellfield. They must have started therre and just driven up Sydney Road stopping when they found something interesting.

The "Padre Pio" Church is called St Ambrose.

Has Dashboard Doctor always been on Sydney Road though? I have a vague memory of seeing it in Grantham Street Brunswick...

Where is the Padre Pio church? PM me if you don't want to make it known publicly.

St Ambrose Church is on Sydney Road in Brunswick. If you are travelling north from the city, it is on your left just after Glenlyon Road/Dawson Street. The Padre Pio sign was up there for a few years after the Late SHow, but it may not be there anymore, I think it hasbeen taken down.

Late Show Locations

This is for the benefit of Late Show fans who don't live in Melbourne.

These places in Melbourne were all in the segment in which Tony and Mick went around heckling people at their workplaces.

Firstly, is the old Brashs store, on 108 - 110 Elizabeth Street. The building is on the Victorian Heritage Register. http://vhd.heritage.vic.gov.au/places/heritage/9646

Today, this building houses a Cotton On clothing store, and a Joanne Mercer shoe store.

Princes Bridge train station, where Mick and Tony used a megaphone to heckle a police officer directing traffic, got pulled down in the late 1990s. Federation Square is now on this site.

The Australian Diamond Company, is on Elizabeth Street. People dressed in suits, can still be spotted handing out leaflets near the Royal Arcade, just as they were in 1992.

Following on from my previous posts on other Late Show locations, here are photos of the Burvale Hotel, as mentioned in the Mick versus Eddie Charlton sketch.

This is what remains of Wobbie's World, which today is a plant nursery.
