London Tavern

Post by Muckraker » Mon May 14, 2007 3:54 pm

I was watching the Boytown DVD the other day, and if you trawl through the special features, you'll come across a reference to the London Tavern.

Mick blurts this reference out as he talks to a "young-mick", standing in for him at the pub.

Aparently its a pub in Richmond (in Melbourne)

Anyway, coincidently, only a few hours later I receive a call from another TLS fan who had just run into Mick at.. The London Tavern. Apparently he was friendly enough, but didn't want to carry on looking like a celeb in his favourite pub, so ended the conversation as quickly as he could.

So now you know where to go - but go easy on him!, We dont wanna stop Mick going there.

Why is it that blokes think nothing of striking up conversation with these celebs, but chicks? No WAY Joe-say. If we opened our mouths surely we would let out that suppressed scream!
Are you castin' aspersions on the habeebee?

Santo

Post by Tino » Tue Jul 03, 2007 9:01 pm

I was lucky enough about 3/4 yrs ago to interview Santo about his love of pro-wrestling when he was in newcastle for a youth arts festival talking to people about filmmaking. If anyone is interested in having a copy of it, i am more than happy to oblige! He was fantastic. Although pressed for time, he still managed to speak to us for about 10 mins. A moment i will never forget.

If you're able to stick an mp3 of it on sendspace or a similar sharing site that would be great.
I just want to pop him on a bit of toast and eat him right up.

Anyone met any D-Gen Members?

Post by foolhardycousingeorge » Mon Jan 07, 2008 11:53 am

I've been wanting to post this for a while.

Some months after The Panel first began ten years ago, I had a dream that I met Santo.

I was walking through Target, when I ran into him.

In the dream, I just told Santo that I thought that The Panel was a good show, and that I had been watching it every week since it started.

I then went on to mention that I had been a D-Gen fan as well.

Santo replied, "Oh, thanks mate."
".....that's what's ahead here on Martin Molloy; the only radio show with an inner core of sphagnum."
