Beware of Wog

Post by sange » Fri Jan 15, 2010 10:04 pm

This may be obvious, (either that or I am way off track) but was Beware of Wog based on Nick Giannopoulous? Jane's "Connie Capricciosa" was an obvious take-off of Effie, but if so, my real query lies in the Joey Spagnolo and the character Judith played (can't remember her name). Was he meant to be Simon Palomares?
I have been wondering about this for years!

99.9% sure it was Nick G. Rumour has it he tried to copyright the word "Wog" at one stage.

Apparently that send-up really, really pissed him off. Tee hee.
I just want to pop him on a bit of toast and eat him right up.

As 13 said. 99.9999% your are correct. Beware of Wog was a piss-take of Nick's shows: Wogs Out of Work, Wog Boys, Wog-A-Rama and Wog Story.

Hi Steve, good to see you haven't disappeared from the site! Isn't this where Pizza took over though, in terms of his "material".
Whatever precautions you take so the photograph will look like this or that, there comes a moment when the photograph surprises you. It is the other's gaze that wins out and decides.
