Surely I'm not the only one here who read the Herald Sun on 1 April and thought immediately, "Body of Christ?" "That'd be nice!" One of my favourite quotes ever!

I hear this at my work quite often. Coles and Woolworths must have in store music provided by the same company.

Eddie Blake wrote:I was in Coles today and playing on the PA - "Accidentally Kelly Street"!

When i heard the guy from Jackass died, i instantly thought of the Stuntman Funeral sketch, with the guys carrying the coffin setting themselves on fire as a mark of respect.

that new(ish) Good News World show that aired on Monday somewhat reminded me of the Late Show. Sort of a mash up between the Late Show, 7pm Project and Good News Week.
Anyone else get that?

Format-wise, very much so. In face, I said as much on the night here: http://blog.australiantumbleweeds.com/?p=1736
And so we get Good News World, which is basically the exact same GNW / Glasshouse / Sideshow / GNW again jokes we’ve been yawning through since 1998, only now some of them are told in sketch form! Still, the format is a good one – it should be, considering it’s pretty much the same one used by every show of this stripe in this country since at least The Late Show in the early 1990s (if not the 70s and Saturday Night Live) : opening monologue, news desk parody, fake interview, sketches, a musical number or two, rinse and repeat until the end credits come up.

went into an op shop yesterday and picked up Best Bits of The Late Show Vol. 1 and Vol. 3 on VHS for 50c each! Bargain. But I can't help but wonder what happened to Vol. 2?

Am I the only one who, when they watch Happy Days on Eleven, sings along with the theme song as TM's impersonation of Toshiro Mifune?
"Sundaaay, Mondaaaay, HAPPY DAY!"
