my god, how could i forget brian bury? or joan kirner? or david boon? (same as it ever was ... same as it ever was)
i now remember gabriel going off in french at the end of accidentally kelly st - you couldn't make that song any worse - but hayley lewis serves only to remind me how long ago all of this happened...

Once in a Lifetime. Boonie is comedy.edison wrote:the david boon [david byrne] "letting the days go by", is one of the funniest most bizarre segments ive seen.
that monotone delivery, with tonnes of reverb and literally no sense of time.
words truly fail to descibe that one. gosh, it still leaves me in stitches.

Hi everyone. This is my first post in the forum. I'm halfway through watching my Late Show DVDs (thanks, Ben!) and I've just watched the one with Max Walker singing "Girls just want to have fun".
I was just wondering if anyone knows where that was filmed? I mean it looks like a real kitchen and kids bedroom, rather than a set.
I don't really expect anyone to know the answer, but if you don't ask....
Thanks.

Re: Celebrity "singers"
My preference, noting that so far I've only seen the ones that are on DVD releases (either in excerpt or easter egg):
1. Pete Smith / Aerosmith - Dude Looks Like A Lady
2. Joan Kirnot / Joan Jett - I Love Rock & Roll
3. David Boon / David Byrne - Once In a Lifetime
4. Brian Bury / Ian Dury - Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick
5. Harry Cooper / Alice Cooper - Department of Youth
...
Dead last: Don Lane / Don Lane - Saturday Night
I do have a soft spot for Rex Hunt's fishing rod guitar though
