I was thinking of adding some member reviews of the general releases of D-Gen / Working Dog etc products.

Does anyone want to write up their own review on ANY of their stuff? Martin/Molloy albums, The Dish DVD, Funky Squad review, etc.? I'll post them with credit to your name on the blog part of the site. The page impressions are bigger than the forum.

The catch is you have to supply the DVD from your own collection and your own spare time. :)

There's no rush, but I thought it might be cool for other members to contribute in their own unique way! We get an average 50 unique hits on quiet day... even more when the blog is updated.

Sounds good adamcrp! I think as a general guideline do a search for on previous blog posts and anything missing you think you could add your expertise to, we can add as a review. And something with a topical twist might make it worth mentioning on the CC FB page if the opportunity arises.

I could write something.

Here's the advice I remember from my student days.

As a guide, reviews have the following elements.

They summarize what the book/ CD/ movie is about.

The writer may want to mention what first attracted them to what they are reviewing.

Include some quotes.

Mention a favorite part.

Suggest who it may appeal to.

The aim is to be impartial, but a review can say if something is great, or if it is terrible, and to be avoided.
