Yeah Ive seen it!
I thought it was pretty darned cool and a great insight in to the political campaign. The one thing that still really sticks in my mind (and Im not sure why entirely) is when Santo observes that Keating must have had his pants hung up on a coat hanger the night before on account of the fold marks on his pants.

Yeah I have.... The Campaign was boradcast in 1996 on ABC in 2 parts (55 minutes each). It was about the ALP’s federal election campaign of that year, sort of from the journo's point of view. Santo filmed as usual and from memory also provided the narration.

I watched it at the time. Wish I taped it. Why isn't it on DVD?

I notice Santo does the narration.
Is it Done in a Comedy Style, ala Chaser , Well not to that extreme, what i mean is, is it just funny grabs or is there a seriousl element.
I ask after reading the Keating Coat Hanger Pants Comment.

The ABC Shop formerly sold it on Video. Then again, they used to sell a lot of things...

It's actually a very serious doco. Santo speaks in a very dry, monotone voice throughout it. I found it fascinating cause Im a fan (like yourselves) but people I was watching it with at the time got bored.

Yeah its definately for afficionados only. Very monotone Santo but defiantely a bit of his subtle cheek comes through at times with observations - I found it fascinating.
Anyone who want's to check it out the ACMI lending library in Sth Melbourne has copies.

Though you have to join the lending library for around $90 a year - to which you can then borrow up to 4 titles at a time from their vast collection of VHS - they have some Frontline tapes not yet released as well..
The good news if your not near Sth Melb though is they will send to other regional libraries for pickup - in Vic at least...

Sorry for the epic bumped thread.
I was wondering if there was any copy of this anywhere that I could get my hands on. It's the only piece of work from these guys I haven't seen/heard/read since since TLS and I would dearly love to see this.
