I went to my extended family's annual reunion last Sunday and got talking with my father's cousin about the various branches of our family's tree which includes Sitch.
He mentioned a Rob Sitch & in reply to my question "you don't mean THE Rob Sitch" he said yes, the one married to Jane Kennedy & they recently had twins.
I then discovered he is a half uncle of Rob's and was talking to him not that long ago at a funeral!!!
So I suppose that means 2.5 degress of family separation...

Back in late 2008, I was on holiday in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. During the week I was there, a music festival was being held down on Kings Beach, down the road from where we were staying.
Among the artists was James Reyne, whose incomprehensible vocals I heard one evening. He was one of the performers sent up in the D-Gen single, Five in a Row.
Vanessa Amorosi performed too. I'm sure that she was once a guest on The Panel.

Rob Sitch's initials are RS, and I once borrowed an RS 2000 from the carpark at Ferntree Gully National Park and entered it in Targa Tasmania. I returned it when I'd finished with it, of course, I'm not completely unscrupulous.

I once wore a skivvy, and well, remember the skit 'Skivvies are back'? Say no more.

A friend of mine who I got to know from my postgraduate year at Uni, was best friends with an acquaintance from my volunteering on Community Radio.
They both attended the station's (then) annual awards night. Charles 'Bud' Tingwell was the special guest, and he presented the main award for the evening.
My friend got to meet Bud afterwards, and I'm sure that he had his photo taken with him, too.
I haven't worn a skivvy since 1986. The last skivvy I owned was a bone one, which I wore in my grade six school photo.
