Tom Gleisner has been made an Officer in the Order of Australia in the General Division.

Apart from his media work, the award recognized Tom's charity work. Tom has been the chair of the cancer charity, Challenge, since 1993. He is also the co founder of the Learning for Life Autism Centre.
