Re: Getting to know you

My name is Scott (Scotty or Scotty boy to my close friends). I was in Year 12, then my first year as an Undergraduate Student during 92 - 93 when The Late Show was on the air. With the recession, double digit unemployment, the early nineties weren't exactly a carefree time, but thanks for the list o...

Re: P***weak World is real

LOL. Who'd have thought people would pay to do this?

Were the P***weak World sketches based on Wobbie's World, a theme park that was in the Melbourne suburb of Nunawading?

Re: Pot Luck Classics

Next week, (Sunday night I think) Channel 10 are showing 40th Anniversary special, hosted by Bert Newton and Rove McManus. I saw the promo this morning, and noticed a quick clip of Pot Luck contestant, Todd Rixon. If some Pot Luck clips are shown, then this will be worth watching, especially for us ...

Re: Getting to know you

Does anyone actually remember what Spohie Lee did in that band? I remember her Sex show. They showed "girls bits" close up, blew my 15 year old mind. I also remember people finding Agro funny. Weird that. My sister went to an adults only Agro show at Twin Towns. For the first five minutes he humped...

I follow Carlton. I haven't been to the football for four years since I have to work on Saturdays.

Re: Pot Luck Classics

What about the acts that Bernard King liked?

One I recall was a pensioner who played Honky Tonk piano.

Bernard told her she should team up with a drummer and trumpet player, and get a recording contract with K-Tel/ Hammard (don't remember which).

Re: Getting to know you

Thanks to The Late Show , we have something to look back on about the early nineties to make us smile. (Not a carefree time if you were young, Victorian, and in your final year of school then first year uni in 92-93) Still, at least the Saturday paper was easy to carry home back in those days of the...

Re:The Natural Seven

What about the toilet breaks from series one of The Late Show ? I remember them because clips from an ABC variety program The Saturday Show were featured. I was about six when this program was on, but I remember being allowed to stay up to watch it. I think at the time, I liked The Saturday Show bec...

Re: Pot Luck Classics

Yes! I remember David Tai. I didn't remember his English being so bad, but I still laugh about his Michael Jackson style choreography? What about Todd Rixon, a high energy dancer? His act was going quite well, until he raised his leg, and tore his hamstring. He had to be helped off the stage. The ot...
