Both of these are great. I don't think 2001 was Kubrick's best film but the BD is worth it for the special features alone. Can't go wrong for nine bucks!

Man I read the write-up about that on DVD Talk and really want it. I've only seen about half a season of the show but absolutely loved it. Is it out yet or was that a pre-order?

Barnes & Noble in the U.S. is having a Criterion Collection sale at the moment, and I got permission from the missus to have one last big DVD purchase before Christmas (what with the great exchange rate making them cheaper than ever), so I went nuts and got the following:

DVD:

Down By Law
Hoop Dreams
Loves of a Blonde
Night and Fog
Night Train to Munich
Roberto Rossellini's War Trilogy
The Royal Tenenbaums
Traffic
White Dog

Blu-ray:

Charade
Che
Days of Heaven
The 400 Blows
For All Mankind
Gomorrah
Hunger
Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence
Seven Samurai
The Thin Red Line
Walkabout
Yojimbo & Sanjuro

Also pre-ordered:

Army of Shadows
Modern Times
Shock Corridor

And followed it up with some Blu-rays from JB Hi-Fi's twofer sale:

Dark City
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Hot Fuzz
How the West Was Won
Inglourious Basterds
Kill Bill 1 & 2
Milk
12 Monkeys
Wedding Crashers
Where Eagles Dare

It's been a while since I last posted here.

My most recent DVD purchases have been;

Series One and Two of British sitcom, Not Going Out (shown some time ago on Seven 2).

Series 3 and 4 of Fraggle Rock.
