He also liked 'Piffy', the bell-playing young child dressed in a flamboyant suit. It's memorable for leading into the bit where Tom Gleisner does a similar act and is dragged away by security.foolhardycousingeorge wrote:What about the acts that Bernard King liked?
One I recall was a pensioner who played Honky Tonk piano.
Bernard told her she should team up with a drummer and trumpet player, and get a recording contract with K-Tel/ Hammard (don't remember which).

Channel 10's 40th birthday special is on Sunday 21 Aug at 8:30. It has Pot Luck bits and an appearance by a young Russell Crowe in some soap (hopefully still billed as Russ LaRoq as he was known in his 80's rock star days)
Singo's a pooftah!

My recall of Bernard's appraisal of 'Piffy' isn't that great. Did Bernard say Piffy was a "delightful child"?RealInspectorShane wrote:He also liked 'Piffy', the bell-playing young child dressed in a flamboyant suit. Yeah, and he also gave Piffy high points for daring to compete against the formidable competition on offer.foolhardycousingeorge wrote:My recall of Bernard's appraisal of 'Piffy' isn't that great. Um.... yes I do....
Kym Wilson "Holding Out For A Hero Season 2 Ep.6.
Picked out of the audience from the mystery board.
She says she "Singa and dances... or trys to.." got that right!
I have all the acts listed on my reference web site. http://www.tandarra.com/thelateshow under Toilet Break in the T-o-n-g-a section.
Only Piffy has his own page on my site at this stage. Who votes Kym should also?
