Hi :)

Post by adamcrp »

Hi Everyone,
My Names Adam and I'm new to this forum.
My first experience of the late show came about a few years ago as I am a lot younger than most of the people on this forum I'm assuming (18 years old), but don't hold that against me, upon going through some old tapes i discovered one called "The Best Bits of the Late Show Vol. 1" intrigued i put the tape in the VCR and begin to play the tape. By the end of the tape i was nearly in tears the humour was right up my alley, my favourite sketch from the first video would have to be "Things us wogs would never do" being italian myself i found it very easy to relate to, Ever since i have collected all the VHS tapes Best Bits Vol. 1 - 3, i am yet to buy The Olden Days and Bargearse yet but i will hopefully soon, plus i have the Champagne Edition DVD too (The only dvd i have every actual watched with the commentary on and not fallen asleep!) I hope to learn a lot more about this great show :)

Adam :)

G'day Adam welcome to the forum!

You've defently come to the right place if you want to learn more about TLS, it's amazing how much information can be found on this site for a show that ended more than 20 years ago

Also It's pretty cool to hear of an 18 year old getting into TLS, Just goes to show how timeless alot the humour really is.

I'm a fan of anything with any of the guys from TLS, The humour in the show is just fantastic, sketch comedy at its best or as rob would say "champagne comedy".
Also quite a big fan of the Martin/Molloy radio program compilation CD, i have recently come across some of The D Generation compilation VHS tapes, I'm enjoying and looking to find some more of the compilation D Gen VHS tapes.

Hi Adam,

Welcome to the forum.

Nice to read your story on how you discovered the Late Show and clicked with it.

There's loads of links to some great stuff buried in these forums from some like minded folks.

Check out http://www.martin-molloy.org/ also, which was started by a few good eggs round here..

Lots of old episodes to pass the days away >> http://www.martin-molloy.org/archive.html

Enjoy.
